Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has an immediate opening for a Technical Support Analyst located at Cooper Nuclear Station in Brownville, Nebraska. Position closes September 2, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. This position will report to the Administrative Services Superintendent.
Position Summary
Incumbent conducts broad-based regulatory-driven functions such as tracking and processing station procedure changes and maintenance of the source procedure files. Customer service skills required for assisting site workers with navigation of the procedure change process and retrieval of historical procedure change data. Meets Fitness for Duty requirements. Subject to call or carrying a beeper and supporting the Emergency Response Organization (ERO). Incumbent is accountable for miscellaneous other responsibilities as assigned or required.
Education, Training and Experience
Four year degree or two year degree with a minimum of two years’ relevant experience (or) high school degree/GED with a minimum of four years’ relevant experience.
Nuclear experience preferred. Relevant experience is defined as clerical or administrative assistant experience with emphasis on use of MS Word templates, styles, macros, and track changes (strongly preferred).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform procedure word-processing while upholding the integrity of station commitments and regulatory obligations, the procedure change process, procedure writer's guide and established procedure templates and styles.
Scan and edit drawings, create and edit equations and create and edit flowcharts.
Proofread procedure changes and provide other peer checks per applicable TSG checklists.
Maintain procedure change tracking and history in the Intranet Document Control System (IDOC), the historical wpd, doc, docx, and pdf files and procedures that are awaiting pre-implementation actions before they can be released.
Provide customer support with Word (template, styles, macros, etc.), IDOCS and procedure change process questions and issues.
Perform or participate in periodic self-assessments, audits and reports.
ERO support assigned ERO duties to ensure the health and safety of the public are protected.
Accountable for other duties as assigned.

In addition to the base salary range listed below, NPPD employees may also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program (AIP) that may supplement total compensation at a level above and beyond the stated salary range. Pay Grade - 8 Monthly
Typical Pay Grade Starting Salary Range: $4,062.00 - $4,976.00
Travel Required: None Travel required may fluctuate by business need. This is an estimate and will be discussed further with candidates that receive an interview.
