Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has an immediate opening for a Temporary Outage Support Worker located at Cooper Nuclear Station in Brownville, Nebraska. Position closes August 2, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time.
Position Summary
Provide support in the Outage Department for various outage activities.
Education, Training and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of 4 years’ Cooper Nuclear Outage or Operations Department experience as described below OR an associate’s or technical degree in an electronics or electrical/mechanical discipline and a minimum of 8 years’ Cooper Nuclear Outage or Operations Department experience as described below OR a high school diploma/GED and a minimum of 10 years’ Cooper Nuclear Outage or Operations Department experience as described below.
Experience in applicable business unit operations, engineering, maintenance, planning or scheduling is required. Demonstrated proficiency with automated planning, scheduling and project management tools is required. Demonstrated broad-based understanding of work management processes and overall integration of NPPD's key enabling processes is required.
Licenses and/or Certifications
Former or Current Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator License at Cooper Nuclear Station preferred if working in Operations.

In addition to the base salary range listed below, NPPD employees may also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program (AIP) that may supplement total compensation at a level above and beyond the stated salary range. Pay Grade - 99 Hourly
