Tool Crib Attendant

Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has an immediate opening for a Tool Crib Attendant located at Cooper Nuclear Station in Brownville, Nebraska.  Position closes September 9, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. 

 

Position Summary

Maintain and issue tools, supplies and test equipment during routine and outage periods. Track the issue and return of tools and test equipment at Cooper Nuclear Station (CNS).

Must be able to communicate with customers and have knowledge of different types of tools and their use. Must maintain tool room in neat and orderly manner and ensure the tool room is ran efficiently with expedient disbursal of equipment.

This position may be assigned to a position within the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) that requires response to the station when an emergency is declared.  Assignment to one of these positions and a condition of continued employment will be the ability to arrive at the station to perform ERO responsibilities within 45 minutes of notification of an emergency.

Education, Training and Experience

High School diploma or GED

Experience in tool control, material control or maintenance is preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Control and issue essential and non-essential supplies and consumables including weld materials.

Issue and maintain the inventory of tools, measuring and test equipment, safety equipment, supplies and materials to support operating and maintenance activities.

Repair and inspect tools and rigging equipment as required to support maintenance activities.

Maintain tool room in neat and orderly manner.

Accountable for other duties as assigned.

Salary Information - Nebraska Public Power District offers a competitive starting salary with opportunities for growth. In addition to the base salary range listed below, NPPD employees may also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program (AIP) that may supplement total compensation at a level above and beyond the stated salary range.  Successful applicants will be provided more information regarding the incentive program at the time of an interview.

Pay Grade - 8 Hourly

Typical Pay Grade Starting Salary Range: $22.75  - $27.87

 

Travel Required: Up to 25% (With no or minimal overnight stays, less than 3 per month, typically within state of Nebraska)  Travel required may fluctuate by business need. This is an estimate and will be discussed further with candidates that receive an interview.
