Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has an immediate opening for a Material Controller - GGS located at Gerald Gentleman Station in Sutherland, Nebraska. Position closes October 22, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for overall accuracy and verification of inventory and includes receiving and issuing of material by proper procedure for efficient warehousing. This position is responsible for overall accuracy and verification of goods, both inventory and non-inventory, and includes receiving, issuing, and delivering of material by proper procedure for efficient warehousing.
Education, Training and Experience
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED).
Licenses and/or Certifications

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Control the issuance and accurate release for warehoused material and spare parts.
Unload and load freight shipments or deliveries and monitor for concealed explosives and potential damage (includes sulfuric acid, caustic, and chlorine).
Tag material accurately for proper material classification.
Ensure proper storage environment is achieved for materials.
Responsible for accurate verification of physical inventory.
Deliver material to other departments.
Accountable for other duties as assigned.

Salary Information - Nebraska Public Power District offers a competitive starting salary with opportunities for growth. In addition to the base salary range listed below, NPPD employees may also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program (AIP) that may supplement total compensation at a level above and beyond the stated salary range. Successful applicants will be provided more information regarding the incentive program at the time of an interview.
Pay Grade - 9 Hourly
Typical Pay Grade Starting Salary Range: $25.70 - $32.13
Travel Required: Travel required may fluctuate by business need. This is an estimate and will be discussed further with candidates that receive an interview.
