The successful candidate will perform vibration data collection, analysis, and diagnostics on rotating equipment (e.g., motors, pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, fans) to detect faults early, prevent unplanned downtime, and support proactive maintenance strategies. This role is critical to maximizing equipment reliability, reducing maintenance costs, and ensuring operational safety and efficiency.

This position will report to the Gerald Gentleman Station (GGS) Plant Engineering Manager and will be part of the Non-Nuclear Engineering Technician Career Path or Non-Nuclear Engineering Career Path depending upon qualifications.

Experience:

Five years in power plant (or similar industry) operations, maintenance, and/or engineering is required, including demonstrated analysis and communications skills in previous work situations. Previous experience in performing the tasks to collect technology data is preferred. Other work experience or demonstrated performance indicating that the applicant has the skills and ability to perform the duties of the position may be substituted for the specified years of experience and/or education.

  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to implement recommendations and verify repairs.
  • Maintain and update condition monitoring databases and software.
