Position Summary
Perform planning, scheduling, and closing processes for engineering and operations work in assigned Information Technology group. Develop complete detailed work packages including ordering and delivery of materials, scheduling of labor, and assisting in the planning. Maintain master data records and Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans including compliance data information. Perform work management administration processes including capital project planning, assisting in capital project finance tracking and capital rate-track, and strategic division roadmap efforts.
Education, Training and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related field and 2 years' experience in information technology (OR) an Associates' degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related field plus 4 years' experience (OR) a high school diploma/GED and 6 years technical IT experience including specific experience noted below.
Prior experience with information and telecommunication technology and key corporate business processes is required.
Demonstrated proficiency with planning, scheduling, and project management tools is required. Experience in Information Technology and/or business unit operations, maintenance, planning, or scheduling is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate project work packages for use by craft and other personnel to perform required maintenance. Perform work activities related to create/modify work requests; daily screening/approval; weekly manager/supervisor screening meeting; interface with technical resources to obtain scope and design and identify internal resources, materials and external services; create orders, plan, estimate, approve and release/modify orders; create/monitor suborders; and schedule and run configuration meetings. Create, plan, modify, and release project networks.
Coordinate activities of multiple work groups including engineers, craft personnel, other NPPD personnel, and vendors to requisition services and services and stock coded/non-stock material for work packages. Coordinate order development and accounting with materials and services purchasing. Requisition materials and services on orders, vendor contacts, and support; monitor for incoming materials, sort, inventory and notify appropriate personnel. Requisition materials and services on project networks; assist with quotes and maintenance contract requisitions and tracking, getting invoices paid, and goods receipts done when requested from warehouse and/or purchasing; coordinate with non-work management groups to keep work flowing and everyone informed.
Maintain equipment and associated records in SAP to keep functional inventory records inline; research and assign accurate functional locations, accounting and work centers; Process District forms for retirement of equipment and forward to accounting for processing to keep capital records for assets up-to-date. Create new equipment records and functional locations, standardizing naming of the records in SAP.
Develop and monitor preventive maintenance (PM) plans. Schedule PM plans per required PM schedules; Develop, maintain, and close standing orders, adjusting them based on changes in the work environment.
Direct, oversee, and perform the work closeout process. Confirm vehicle usage for groups to drive entry consistency; if assigned by management, locate and close completed orders.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Continued)
Develop and maintain detailed integrated work schedules (daily, weekly, and outage). Practice strict adherence to all safety practices for the work being scheduled. Ensure safety practices are present in work being scheduled; process emergent work orders in a timely manner, including double orders and one calls as required; create “work for others” work orders and follow process; assist Service Desk and operations centers as needed; coordinate review of scheduling efforts in scheduling system (Pasta). Monitor vulnerability notifications, process notifications, schedule operations and implementation orders.
Work Management Administration and Metrics. Monitor work requests, orders and progress on schedules and report progress; maintain schedules in scheduling system (Pasta), making certain current weeks are being progressed and future weeks are planned out in detail at least 4 weeks; identify and resolve outstanding, unassigned, and orphan work requests; hold weekly work coordination meetings with work groups and management to prioritize, plan and schedule work; develop and maintain work management related reports and measures; stay current with applicable regulatory changes and ensure regulatory compliance.

In addition to the base salary range listed below, NPPD employees may also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program (AIP) that may supplement total compensation at a level above and beyond the stated salary range. Successful applicants will be provided more information regarding the incentive program at the time of an interview.
Pay Grade - 13 Monthly
Typical Pay Grade Starting Salary Range: $7,264.00 - $9,081.00
Travel Required: Up to 25% (With no or minimal overnight stays, less than 3 per month, typically within state of Nebraska) Travel required may fluctuate by business need. This is an estimate and will be discussed further with candidates that receive an interview.
